kelan pa ba tong site na to? kung sino man nakaisip nito malamng kabilang sa batch 79 yun, piho ko eh baka IV-1 pa. daming magaling dun eh...dami ring nagmamagaling. biro lang, kung sino ka man na nakaisip nito, saludo ako sa yo...nagpapatunay lang na isa kang tunay na produkto ng minamahal nating MHS. 
Note of webmaster: Hi quizling, thanks for ur kind words, but sorry have to disappoint you: we're not related to batch 79. You see there are even smart(er) people in other baches too . This website was founded by Alex Auwerda and Annabel Relos (Auwerda) (batch 85). BTW we're online since januari 2006. Happy new year!

Facts or Fictions ...? Note: author of this topic doesn’t vouch for the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of this thread. Below information were just heard from different sources… • Demolition of the old MHS building cost 1.5 million pesos. This was paid to a bidder contractor on the condition that everything inside the building (including steels, etc) would go to this contractor once the bidding has been closed. Sad to say, all donated electric fans were still hanging on the ceilings when the bidding was closed. So, did all those donated electric fans end in the hands of this contractor? • Is it true that Batch ‘81 donated for the MHS library: books, electric fans and they changed the windows to a huge panel of glass window? Is it true that their donation almost cost up to 200K pesos? Is it true that they were not even informed by the Principal before they started this library “renovation” that the building where the library is located would also be demolished? Was it such a waste for this huge window with glass panels because this also ended up in the hands of the same contractor? • Is it true that many computers were donated previously to MHS, but they are not installed now in the CCM building? Where are they now? • Is it true that the city government doesn’t have a budget yet for the construction of a new building for Manila High School? Will there ever be a new Manila High School building and when? • Is it true that the city government released 6M pesos for the renovation of the upper floors of the CCM building that would be occupied by MHS? What have they done in the building, except for cleaning and painting them? • MHS students and teachers have been all relocated in the CCM (City College of Manila) in Escolta, but the principal’s office and his clerks are still holding their air-conditioned office in the MHS Intramuros building (front wing)? • CCM is a 9-storey building. College students of CCM occupy the ground floor up to 4th floor. MHS students and teachers/ faculty occupy the 5th up to 8th floor…? • Is it true that there is "one & only" door for both entrance and exit for both CCM & MHS students in the building? Both share the same stairs too, which is only ONE (for going up & down). Have they ever thought in case of stampede or panic inside? Are we talking here of several thousands of students, plus teachers, occupying this building? • There are some elevators inside the building, but they are not operational. They haven’t been used & maintained in many years. • Are there not enough classrooms for all the MHS students in the CCM building? They are having classes even in hallways / corridors. Many students even sit just on the floor during classes… • Many classrooms don’t even have windows. It’s very warm inside. Neither there’s an air conditioner nor electric fans in most of these classrooms…? • Is it true that the upper building that MHS occupy wasn’t even checked by the Fire department for safety regulations? The Fire department wasn’t even aware that these floors are now occupied, only when MHS was on media already? Is this violation of the safety law? • Are the sanitary facilities inside the building very poor? There’s no flowing water in the faucet and no flush. There’s water in a container (drum) inside that they can use for ”pambuhos sa inidoro”. Is the water in this container filthy and might even be conducive for mosquitoes to breed? • Do teachers & particularly students suffer from dehydration already due to heat & poor ventilation and no water supply inside the building? Their “baon na tubig” is never sufficient to last for a whole day and the “cooperative store” inside the building sees here a good business selling bottled water? It is scorching hot inside the CCM building. • Are they holding classes now 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) until January or February 2009? Is this to compensate the lessons they missed when the old MHS building was closed in August & the CCM building wasn’t ready yet for their relocation. • Are some teachers working now on a petition to stop the extra Saturday lesson because they are really exhausted already just with the 5-days work and due to environment conditions in the CCM building? • Is it true that the new location (CCM building) is not so accessible for many MHS students, causing them to pay more for their daily transportation fare/allowance? • Is it true that there are so many underweight or malnourished children studying in MHS? These children live in the nearby Paseco district, known as the poorest district in the city. Most, if not all, of the Paseco residents were forced to live in Manila because they lost their homes due to lahar from the Pinatubo volcano. • The school offers a “Feeding Center” for these malnourished students just before the classes begin. They get their breakfast. There’s a growing population of these malnourished children and the school is also dependent on donations & charities to keep this going. • The vicinity of the CCM Building in Escolta is very busy, particularly due to vehicles. There’s no area/space where young students could spend their break, except in the corridors inside the building. • Is it true that there are ghosts or “malignos” inside the CCM building? Many MHS students, even some teachers, have experienced their presence in the building… • Is it true that these ghosts even appeared to some students and their presence was felt by many even in broad daylight? Is it true that some students were even so terrified and shocked to see & feel some of these ghosts? • Is it true that this CCM building was featured about 2 years ago on TV due to these “unexplained & scary happenings”? • Is it true that some gifted psychics were even invited in the past to help drive these “bad spirits” away, but to no avail? • Why and how could our Philippine government “dump” these youthful students in this building? • Below is a comment from an “anonymous alumnus” after viewing the TV patrol last November 3rd: “last monday, nov 3, tv patrol world of abs-cbn channel 2 featured in their segment, "bayan mo, ipatrol mo," the plight of the mhs students now in the bldg that they were transferred to in escolta, grabe! talaga yung condition ng mga students, the place is not conducive to learning talaga, whatwould you expect from the students nowadays, biro nyo, sabi nila, they are holding their classes in the 8th flr, may elevator yung bldg pero di sya gumagana, just like what our co-alumnus, mr esber said and showed to us all, kulang sa mga facilities and at the same time, risky pa yung lugar dahil if ever na may masamang mangyari, (i hope wala naman), like fire or earthquake, trap silang lahat sa bldg. i wonder kung bakit sila dun inilipat? eto namang principal, nung ininterbyu, ok naman daw, nakakapagklase naman daw! hindi nya kaya nakikita yung sitwasyon ng mga students nya?! yes, nakakapagklase, pero sa situation kaya ng mga students, may naiintindihan and natututunan kaya sila? ”

sa totoo marami talaga ang gustong makita ang classmate na matagal na nakasama, naging barkda. bakit di naman subukan ipakita ang kalagayan ng mga kasama, ka batch or bestfriend natin ang mga naging buhay nila? totoo nainggit ako sa mga nakita kong successful sila, kahit successful din ako di man sa yaman sa panginoon di ba?nandito man ako sa \'pinas nagsisilbi naman ako sa simbahan kaya nakita ko ang reyalidad ng buhay...marami sa atin ang kailangan ang tulong natin,una sana magkaroon tayo ng panahon na makita ang mga batch natin bakit di cla tumutugon sa ganitong kasayahan at kalungkutan,ano ang kulang, sa panahon ngayon madami ang hindi nagsuccess sana e2 ung mapagtuunan ng pansin..... buhay pa ba cla... maganda kaya ang kwen2 ng buhay nila.... o kailangan nila ang kamay ng bawat isa sa atin....... sana ipagdasal natin na ok rin cla kagaya natin....\\\"GOD BLESS to ALL of U\"!!!!!!
